Farewell to the graduating scholarship recipients

Saturday, May 18th was the official farewell day for students of the fifth year who are graduating and completing the Foundation’s scholarship program.

The meeting started with a Eucharist celebrated by the director of the John Paul II Foundation Home, Fr. Jan Strzałka.  In the Foundation’s Chapel, we prayed in the intention of the graduating students. We also thanked God for the opportunity to continue the scholarship program of the John Paul II Foundation. In our prayers, we included all benefactors of the Foundation.

Traditionally, the scholarship recipients of the fourth year organized the farewell evening.  They organized so-called “big gala” – the first ceremony of presenting the John Paul II Foundation awards to the fifth year scholars for their outstanding achievements.  The graduates of the John Paul II Foundation Home were nominated, and the selection was made by the Committee which included the scholarship recipients of the fourth year.

In the form of a game: “What? Where? When” the most characteristic moments in the lives of scholarship recipients were presented.  Refreshments and dance party was the culmination part of the evening.
