In accordance with the statutory provisions, the Archbishop of Krakow has the governing authority over the John Paul II Foundation. Currently, Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski holds this authority.  Stanisław Cardinal Ryłko is the chairman of the Administrative Council.

The Administrative Secretariat led by Fr. Krzysztof Wieliczko OSPPE is the main headquarter of the Foundation.  The Administrative Secretariat presents objectives and promotes Foundation’s presence in various environments.

The Secretariat supports institutions operating within the Foundation:

– The Center for Documentation and Research Center of the Pontificate of John Paul II – Rev. Andrzej Dobrzyński.

– Polish Home in Rome – Msgr. Mieczysław Niepsuj

– John Paul II Foundation Home in Lublin – Rev. Jan Strzałka SCJ

The Foundation’s operations are possible thanks to the generosity of benefactors from the entire world.  Many benefactors are members of the Foundation’s Chapters and Friends of the Foundation groups.  Currently there are 48 Chapters and Friends groups existing in 18 countries on five continents.
