On Saturday, November 16, 2019, there was a spiritual retreat for priests at the John Paul II Foundation House in Lublin. It was presided by Fr. Dr. Tadeusz Michałek, pastor of the parish in Pliszczyna near Lublin and professor in philosophy at the Major Seminary of the Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Stadniki near Cracow. The main thought of the conferences and homilies delivered were the words “Your kingdom come” from the Lord’s Prayer. Around this thought were questions about our priestly vocation today, prayer, current pastoral challenges and studies. The preacher emphasized that the pillar of our life must be the Eucharist, in which through faith we meet Jesus who is alive and present among us. Through Eucharistic adoration, the sacrament of penance and reconciliation, Holy Mass and the joint meeting at the table, we could again feel like a community of students gathered around their Teacher and Master, asking even more strongly “Your kingdom come!”.
