On Tuesday, March 8, 2022, a great march of youth solidarity with Ukraine took place in Lublin. On Litewski Square gathered not only Ukrainian youth who study and work in Lublin, among them scholarship recipients of the John Paul II Foundation, but also a lot of Poles who are not indifferent to the war. Despite the fact that it was cold outside, children accompanied by their parents also participated in the march. The march was organized by representatives of the clergy of the Lublin archdiocese and the city authorities. Participants gathered in the square came with various posters calling for an end to the war in Ukraine. Blue and yellow flags proudly fluttered in the wind.
The participants prayed the Divine Mercy Chaplet for peace in Ukraine, after which they lined up in the shape of a big heart, holding yellow or blue cards in their hands. Then everyone, singing the national songs and the anthem of Ukraine, marched to the town hall in Lublin, and then to the cathedral, where the march ended with a common prayer and songs in Ukrainian and Polish. This another march of support for Ukraine showed that Poles are not indifferent to the fate of their neighbors, that they bring and will continue to bring help and support to the Ukrainian people in every possible way.
