There was great power and willingness to do such work in all of us

During the John Paul II pontificate my wife hardly saw me, I worked thirteen or fourteen hours a day, and if it was necessary, it was all night. The extraordinary activity of the Pope translated into our work. For example, he visited all the parishes of the Diocese of Rome one by one, and we constantly reported on these visits in the pages of the newspaper. Of course, to this must be added apostolic journeys, pilgrimages throughout the world. Before departure, we printed the travel program for the Papal entourage and for the journalists of the Papal flight, and during the pilgrimage we quoted reports from all the celebrations, from meetings, texts of homilies and comments of the Vaticanists present on the spot. Sometimes, when John Paul II was in the other hemisphere, it happened that he would finish celebrating Holy Mass at midnight or in the morning of our time and then we would print the material all night. But, there was great power and willingness in all of us to do such work. A lot, really a lot was happening. And, the more orders we received, the more energy entered us.
