“How can we not rejoice in the victory in which good definitely wins over evil?” – he asked. And, he enjoyed it like a child. As at Christmas, he rejoiced at the birth of little Jesus, the first star and the common Christmas caroling at the table. And, what was touching me a lit – says Archbishop Mokrzycki – was the tenderness with which he spoke about the resurrection. When he spoke tenderly of the little Jesus, it did not surprise me at all. When he spoke this way about the death and resurrection of the same Jesus, it was extraordinary, special to me. He kept saying that it moved him. And, one year he even spoke of the Paschal kiss of peace and love. He asked us to accept the kiss. It was beautiful.
He was clear. Every day in each of us, good fights with evil. Every day we can be resurrected or remain in the grave. If we live with God, we will always win. That is why John Paul II appealed: “Let no man rejects Him – for each one is the builder of his own destiny: the builder or the destroyer of his existence.”
