The John Paul II Foundation Chapter in Munich

On October 10, 2021, together with our compatriots in our homeland and in the world, we celebrated the XXI Papal Sunday.  Every year our Chapter participates in the Papal Sunday.  Already on Saturday, October 9, members who are involved in organization of this event met together with their spiritual leader, Father Stanisław Pławecki, the parish priest.  Members divided various tasks among themselves based on their abilities.  The secretary was responsible for writing an appeal to the faithful, the artistically gifted ladies prepared a commemorative decoration at the altar, a person with a large car transported the decorations to five different churches where Polish-language Holy Masses are celebrated in Munich.  Someone else took care of ordering a souvenir for donors, which this year was a key ring with the image of John Paul II and Blessed Stefan Wyszyński.  The president of our Chapter, Mrs. Marta Czempik, was overseeing all preparations for the event.  On Sunday, in the Polish parish community, we conducted a fundraiser event for the needs of the John Paul II Foundation in Rome, enjoying the generosity of parishioners.  We feel the presence of the Saint among us.
