On the next day of the ceremony, we went on a pilgrimage to the town of Cascia, located in the Umbria region, to the beautiful Basilica of St. Rita. The culmination of our pilgrimage was the Holy Mass concelebrated by 15 priests, including two archbishops – from Indonesia and Belarus. The Eucharist was celebrated by Archbishop Józef Staniewski, who also delivered the homily based on a brief description of the life of Saint Rita. At the end of the Mass, through intercessory prayer to Saint Rita, patroness of difficult and hopeless matters, we entrusted our private intentions before the altar with the relics of the Saint.
