Our names are Julia and Anastasia. We are from Ukraine and study sightseeing and cultural tourism at the Catholic University of Lublin. We are seniors (on the fourth year). This semester, as part of the Erasmus program, we went to Hungary, to Budapest. It is a wonderful city, with a beautiful, though tragic, history of the post-war years.
We are currently students at the Pázmány Péter Catholic University, founded in 1635 by Cardinal Peter Pázmany. All classes are held at the university full-time in English. This allows you to meet a large number of new people from other countries.
In connection with the ongoing war in Ukraine, we are helping our compatriots who have recently come here. We are involved in the work of the Foundation of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Hungary. We also take part in various meetings and peaceful demonstrations.
We are grateful to the John Paul II Foundation, all its benefactors, and friends for the opportunity to participate in such an experience. Our cordial greetings from Budapest!
