My name is Karyna and I am from Ukraine. Currently, I participate in the Erasmus program at the Catholic University of Eichstätt in Germany.
In May, a university-wide football tournament took place. One of the conditions for the team was that at least one girl had to play in it and my friends from the Greek Catholic seminary invited me to join the team. Our entire team consisted of Ukrainians, and the goalkeeper was brother Achilles from Poland. In the final classification we got 5th place out of 16 teams, which is a pretty good result.
On the occasion of the tournament, together with Maria Mysiv – my colleague and scholarship recipients of the John Paul II Foundation who is with me on the program, we decided to carry out an action to help Ukraine. Several other people from Ukraine joined this action and brought various types of cakes. In addition, we prepared eco-bags with Ukrainian motifs and sold them in order to raise money for the needs of our army.
We would like to thank all participants of this action!
