My name is Maria. I am from Ukraine and I am studying Germanic philology at the Catholic University of Lublin on the fourth year. Currently, I am participating in a student exchange program in Germany at the Katholische Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt. This is the second time when I am participating in the Erasmus program. For the first time, I went to Berlin and this time I’m in Bavaria. It is very important for language studies to gain knowledge in a given country and to be among its inhabitants. Classes at the university look similar to those in Poland, where everything is done in German.
When I arrived in Eichstätt, I immediately found a church that I visit often. I am glad that I have such a religious community as I can talk with them about various issues and discuss current events.
I would like to express my gratitude to the John Paul II Foundation for the opportunity to study at the Catholic University of Lublin. At the same time, I am very grateful that this university provides opportunities for international exchange within the framework of Erasmus program. I am very happy and I greatly appreciate this opportunity. My cordial greetings to everyone!
