My name is Karyna. I am from Ukraine and I am studying Germanic philology at the Catholic University of Lublin, in the fourth year. This semester I am participating in the Erasmus program at the Catholic University of Eichstätt in Germany. I’m here for the second time, so I feel at home. Two years ago, when I participated in the Erasmus program for the first time, we had online studies due to the coronavirus epidemic. Everything was closed and unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to experience what normal studies look like. And, now I know – there is something going on here all the time and I want to participate in everything.
In Germany, the summer semester starts in April and ends in July. Now, this is the time for papers and various presentations. The real challenge is taking classes with German students. We have to spend more time translating some scientific concepts and trying to understand them. But, any such challenge leads to development.
In addition, the Erasmus program gives you the opportunity to meet new people from all over the world. That is why I encourage you to go on an exchange and I think that it is worth taking part in this program to get to know yourself from another side, see your possibilities, and make new contacts and friendships.
Greetings to all from Eichstätt!
