“No one will replace You” Anthem for the 100th anniversary of the birth of John Paul II

Kasia Moś, Dorota Osińska, Natalia Rubiś, Wojciech Cugowski, Marek Piekarczyk, Mateusz Ziółko, Romuald Lipko. They are the creators of the anthem for the 100th anniversary of the birth of Karol Wojtyła – John Paul II. 

The year 2020 was announced as the year of St. John Paul II.  Exactly on May 18th we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of his birth.  On this occasion, the John Paul II Institute of Intercultural Dialogue in Cracow prepared the hymn in tribute to the Pope with the eloquent title “No one will replace You”.

Outstanding artists of the Polish music scene were invited to record the song:  Kasia Moś, Dorota Osińska, Natalia Rubiś, Wojciech Cugowski, Marek Piekarczyk, Mateusz Ziółko.  The music, to the words of Marek Dutkiewicz, was composed by Romuald Lipko – one of the most important creators of Polish entertainment music of recent decades.

On January 4, 2020, the official opening of the 100th anniversary celebration took place along with the premiere of the music video.  The official opening took place in the Cracow’s Opera during the 11th Christmas Caroling with John Paul II.  The organizers believe that the song will become a real anthem of the year 2020:

We hope that this song, which was written specifically on the occasion of this anniversary will be sung by all Poles – said Agata Szuta, Director of the John Paul II Institute of Intercultural Dialogue in Cracow.
