NEW LAUREATE – DOCTOR OF THE JOHN PAUL II FOUNDATION

On April 10, 2024, the public defense of Father Anthony Alex Lesomar’s doctoral dissertation, a scholarship recipient of the John Paul II Foundation, took place at the Catholic University of Lublin. The defense was conducted online in English.

The dissertation, titled “The Problem of the Human Person’s Subjectivity in the Anthropological Thought of Karol Wojtyła,” was written under the supervision of Reverend Dr. Tomasz Duma, a professor at the Catholic University of Lublin, within the framework of a seminar on metaphysics and philosophical anthropology.

Father Lesomar was able to undertake studies at the Catholic University of Lublin, leading to a Ph.D. in philosophy, thanks to a scholarship program managed since 1990 by the Vatican John Paul II Foundation. We congratulate the new doctorate holder and wish him much success in his research and teaching in his home country, Indonesia.
