On Sunday, March 23, 2025, the “IC Jannuzzi – Di Donna Andria” hosted a grand gala marking the fifth edition of the „Premio per la pace” award. The award is dedicated to honoring builders of a better world – individuals distinguished by their commitment to peace, justice, solidarity, and inter-community dialogue.
The event, organized in collaboration with the University of Bari, the Italian association FIDAPA, the cultural association Fidelis Quadratum, and the Giovanni Paolo II Association („Associazione Giovanni Paolo II”), was held under the patronage of the city of Andria. The gala opened with an address by Lilla Bruno and featured a musical performance by singer Riccardo Lorusso, enriching the evening’s festivities.
Among this year’s laureates was Monsignor Paweł Ptasznik, President of the John Paul II Vatican Foundation, Rector of the Church of St. Stanislaus B&M in Rome, and long-time close collaborator of Saint John Paul II. Monsignor Ptasznik was awarded „for his service at the Secretariat of State in the Vatican as a personal collaborator of Saint John Paul II, and for his dedication in continuing to promote the message of peace and teachings of the Holy Pope as the President of the John Paul II Vatican Foundation.”
The full list of laureates can be found in Antonio Pistillo’s coverage for „Il Pensiero Mediterraneo – Rivista Culturale online” (https://cutt.ly/zrpA2ZwJ).
