Traditionally, the time after Christmas is full of the so-called “kolęda”, i.e. visits of families by priests and blessing of apartments in parishes and various communities. In the John Paul II Foundation Home in Lublin, the custom of singing carols, joint meetings and visits of household members is cultivated.
On Thursday, January 19, 2023, at 7 p.m., the Holy Mass was celebrated by the Director of the Home, Fr. Jan. Then, Fr. Jan and Fr. Robert visited the fellows’ apartments to bless them and sprinkle them with holy water. The joyful mood of the inhabitants of the Home was expressed by singing Christmas carols in Polish and Ukrainian. The end of the Christmas caroling took place in the auditorium at the common table, where there were tasty buns. There was also a lot of gratitude for experiencing this Christmas time in a family atmosphere full of warmth.
