It was fulfilled what was to be fulfilled

Archbishop Mokrzycki reminds that, as a result of an oversight, in the plan of the pilgrimage a visit to Golgotha was missing. And, on the same day, after lunch, John Paul II says: “I was not on Mount Golgotha.” There was no way out. They were not able to convince him. The organizers had a huge problem. They warned that there would be steep stairs, that it would be difficult; that the streets have already been unblocked for pilgrims and passers-by. But, the Holy Father did not want to listen to it at all. And, it had to work. He also went to Golgotha – says the Archbishop with a smile. He recalls how the Holy Father kissed Palestinian land, as he said in a refugee center that “the Holy See has always recognized the right of the Palestinian people to their homeland and the right to live in peace. The Holy Father returned from Jerusalem fulfilled – says the Archbishop. And, in some way stronger; more joyful. As if he got wings. Though tired, he must have been terribly. But, it was fulfilled what was to be fulfilled.
