INAUGURATION OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR AND THE CELEBRATION OF FATHER ROBERT

On Sunday, September 29, 2024, the scholarship holders and guests of the Jean-Paul II Foundation House in Lublin celebrated the inauguration of the new academic year. The 11 o’clock Mass was presided over by Father Robert Ptak, whose feast day and birthday took place in September. The homily was delivered by Father Jan Strzałka, who, referring to Sunday’s Gospel, emphasized the negative effects of jealousy, which can destroy a person’s spiritual and religious life as well as their friendships with others. In his speech, he also highlighted Father Robert’s generosity in his service to the House and the Foundation’s scholarship program.

The Eucharist was followed by a gathering in the auditorium, where the scholarship holders and guests presented their best wishes to Father Robert, offering him flowers and gifts. Father Robert expressed his sincere gratitude for this kindness and invited everyone to a light snack. Everyone shared the joy of reuniting after the summer break and the optimism of resuming studies and scholarship duties in this new academic year.
