On Wednesday, June 24 at 19.00, during the Solemnity of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, scholarship holders and residents of the John Paul II Foundation House in Lublin gathered in the chapel to celebrate the feast day of Fr. director Jan Strzałka. The Eucharist was presided by Fr. Jan, with Fr. Robert Ptak and scholarship holders. In the occasional sermon, Fr. Robert, based on the history of the birth of John the Baptist, emphasizing the importance of trust in God in everyone’s life. Referring to Fr. Director, he said that Fr. Jan is a man with a big heart, (biblical meaning of name John – “God is gracious).” At the end of Mass Fr. Director thanked everyone for the presence and prayers and invited all to refreshments in the assembly hall. Over there we wish him happy Feast Day and handed him flowers and a “sweet present”.
