Traditionally, the last Thursday preceding the beginning of Lent is the so-called “Fat Thursday”. In Poland, this day is celebrated very joyfully and is accompanied by ” Pączki (donut) madness”. Donuts, fried with various types of filling, are hosted on this day in every home, as well as in places of study and work.
Donuts were also available at the John Paul II Foundation Home in Lublin. After the evening Mass, we had the opportunity to taste various types of donuts, eating them in a nice, family atmosphere.
