CONCLUSION OF THE ACADEMIC YEAR AT THE JOHN PAUL II FOUNDATION HOUSE

On Sunday, June 23, 2024, at 11:00 am, a solemn Holy Mass marked the culmination of the academic and formational year at the John Paul II Foundation House chapel in Lublin. This event was part of the scholarship program and brought together scholars, alumni, and friends of the House, who also commemorated the name day of Father Director Jan Strzałka.

The Celebrant led the Mass, joined by Father Robert Ptak and priests who are scholarship recipients from Indonesia and Ukraine. Father Robert, in his sermon referencing the Sunday Gospel of calming the storm on the lake, encouraged all present to reflect on the question: ‘Who was Jesus to me in the past academic year?’

Following the Holy Mass, Father Jan expressed gratitude for the collective prayers and kindness shown towards him. After the June service, attendees gathered in the hall where scholarship representatives extended warm wishes, presented flowers and gifts, and sang his favorite song, ‘Barka’ (The Boat).

The gathering was characterized by a warm and familial atmosphere, reflecting the strong bond within the Foundation House community. We wish all students success in their upcoming exams and a restful summer break. Our sincere thanks go to the Foundation authorities, benefactors, and friends for their unwavering spiritual and material support. May God’s blessings continue to enrich us all.
