Christmas priest’s visitation (kolęda) at the Foundation Home

At the John Paul II Foundation Home in Lublin we cultivate traditions of priest’s visitation of the dormitory residents, Christmas caroling and join meetings during Christmas which in Poland is traditionally ongoing until the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple (February 2nd).

On Tuesday (January 21st) and Thursday (January 23rd) after the evening Mass, the Director of the House, Fr. Jan Strzałka and his assistant Fr. Robert Ptak visited individual rooms and blessed them offering commemorative Christmas pictures printed on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of St. John Paul II.

Then, on Monday (January 27th), we invited Canon Fr. Mariusz Nakonieczny, Pastor of our parish along with the Vicar.  The priests’ visitation started at the Christmas Nativity scene with a prayer in the intention of all dormitory residents, Foundation’s Home builders and Foundation’s benefactors.  The Pastor blessed rooms occupied by priests and some other rooms.  Then, we sat down for a supper.
