The Christmas time that is in Poland traditionally celebrated until February 2nd(Our Lady of Candlemas) it is also marked with a priest visit of families.  For many years, such pastoral visits also take place at the John Paul II Foundation Home.  This year, the pastoral visits were ongoing for three days.

On Tuesday, January 22nd, when scholarship recipients returned from their Christmas break to the Foundation Home, the blessing of rooms and residents of the Foundation Home took place.  After the evening Mass, the director of the Foundation Home and altar servers visited each room, blessing it with the holy water and granting the pastoral blessing.  At the end, all were invited for a snack into the Foundation Home hall.

Next day, the Pastor from the Bl. Władysław Goral Church, Fr. Cannon Mariusz Nakonieczny was invited for a visit.  The Foundation Home is located in the area of the Bl. Władysław Goral Church service.  The visit started with a prayer in the intention of all residents of the Foundation Home in which student, management of the Foundation Home, and Fr. Zdzisław Kozioł, Sacred Heart Priest, participated.  After the prayer, the Pastor blessed rooms of the priests and some rooms of the Foundation Home.

Then, on Saturday, January 26th, the blessing of rooms in which priests who are also scholarship recipients live took place.  The pastoral visit started with a Mass celebrated by Fr. Jan Strzałka, director of the Foundation Home along with other priests.  After the Eucharist, all went to the priests’ rooms where prayers and blessing took place.  The celebration ended with joint singing of Christmas Carols.
