On the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the election of Cardinal Karol Wojtyła as Pope and the liturgical memorial of St. John Paul II, teachers and students of the Catholic Polish Primary School named after St. John Paul II prepared an artistic program.
St. John Paul II is the patron of the school affiliated with the church of St. Stanislaus BM in Rome, serving as inspiration and strength for seeking new paths followed by the students. Every day, they strive to emulate the Man of immense faith in the goodness and wisdom of young people.
Students, teachers, and catechists recited excerpts from Poems: Song about the Hidden God, Thought is a Strange Space, Cyrenian’s Profile, and Magnificat by Karol Wojtyła, as well as fragments from the Roman Triptych of John Paul II.
The choir, under the direction of Sister Martyna Proszek, performed compositions: The Time is Coming, White Pilgrim, Barka, and the school hymn.
The main content of the poetry revolves around the perfect love of God for creation and its profound experience until unity with the Creator, as well as the human response to this love, to the divine call to seek truth, goodness, and love.
The event was attended by, among others, Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski, Archbishop and Metropolitan of Krakow, Adam Kwiatkowski, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Holy See, and Father Paweł Ptasznik, Rector of the church of St. Stanislaus BM.”
