All Souls’ Day – the memory of all the faithful departed took place in the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Paris on November 2. The Holy Mass was celebrated by pastor Rev. Paweł Witkowski.
During the Holy Mass we prayed for the souls of all our faithful departed, and for the souls in Purgatory. Outside the church, in front of the bust of Saint John Paul II, hundreds of lit candles were placed by the gathered Poles who were unable to visit the graves of their relatives in their homeland. The bust of the Polish Pope was funded by the Friends of the John Paul II Foundation in Paris.
