A SONG OF THANKSGIVING TO THE EARTH. THIS EARTH!

On Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the Lublin Philharmonic, a concert commemorating the 35th Anniversary of the Apostolic pilgrimage of Pope John Paul II to Lublin took place.  The “Biographies of Everyday Life” Foundation was the originator of the concert.  The concert happened thanks to the great commitment of Prof. Teresa Krasowska, who is employed at the Department of Choral Studies and Vocal Education at the UMCS.  The professor Krasowska is also a very active, long standing member of the John Paul II Foundation.

The event featured: the Lublin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra and the St. John Paul II Warsaw Papal Choir.  The repertoire of the concert consisted of compositions by such artists as: C. Saint-Saens, M. Lorenc, P. Mascagni and M. Grandjany.  At the end, everyone sang “Barka”, the favorite song of the Holy Father.

A group of scholarship recipients of the John Paul II Foundation listened to the concert with great emotion.  The group was accompanied by the director of the House, Fr Jan.
