Catechesis with John Paul II, exhibition of amateur photos of pilgrims, children’s performances and literary presentations, concert “Tradition and Polish culture”, including all of these will make the special celebration of Papal Day at Jasna Góra. The celebration will end on October 22 and will constitute the second stage of the 40th anniversary of John Paul II first pilgrimage to Poland.

On October 16, the day of the election of Cardinal Karol Wojtyła to the Holy See will be opening of the exhibition with unique photos “What is left from those days” and meeting of children and youth. On Sunday, October 20, students of the Academy of Music in Krakow together with Katarzyna Suska-Zagórska will perform songs from the songbook of Stanisław Moniuszko, about which John Paul II wrote in his book “Memory and Identity.” Everything is done as part of the educational project “Hope.
