As part of a joint prayer “Poland Under the Cross” campaign, the John Paul II Foundation invites you to come for Holy Mass at the Basilica of St. Peter in the Polish Chapel of Our Lady of Czestochowa on Saturday, September 14 at 8:00.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Attacks on the Church from anti-Christian groups have recently intensified. Blasphemy began to spread to an unknown scale. We have heard about priests committing suicide and abandoning the priesthood. There is a massive abandonment of faith around the world. What has been so far clearly considered a sin is becoming the subject of a debate. Churches and cathedrals burn. We could go on and on with this list. However, it is better to ask ourselves: what can we do now? We are Christians, people of hope and we know how powerful can prayer be. And the sign of the victory for us is the Cross of Christ. Therefore, we invite everyone for a joint prayer together in the glory of the Cross of Christ.
The event starts on 14th September 11.00 am. We ask all participants to arrive as soon as possible. The journey to the prayer location can have a form of a pilgrimage. Very intensive work is underway to prepare a detailed programme. Essentially, the event consists of two parts. On Saturday through the sacrament of confession, Holy Mass, conference talk and testimonies – with the help of images, music and lights we go under the Cross.
