We warmly invite you to the Symphony of Mercy!

On the eve of Divine Mercy Sunday, on April 26, 2025, the Symphony of Mercy will take place – a unique and unprecedented religious and musical event that unites prayer and art into one. The main celebrations of the Symphony of Mercy will be held at the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Łagiewniki, alongside simultaneous ceremonies in the Vatican, Tanzania, the USA, the Philippines, Brazil, and Australia. The event will be broadcast to Divine Mercy sanctuaries worldwide, connecting six continents. This extraordinary evening, with the participation of Pope Francis himself, will gather the faithful from around the world, both in person and in front of their screens

The Symphony of Mercy is part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the institution of Divine Mercy Sunday by Saint John Paul II, the canonization of Saint Sr. Faustina Kowalska, as well as the 20th anniversary of John Paul II’s death and the 50th anniversary of the death of Blessed Fr. Michał Sopoćko.

The centerpiece of the concert will be the premiere of a symphony composed by Bartłomiej Gliniak, combining classical music, choir, and electronic elements. World-class artists from Poland and abroad will perform. The symphony will be presented in 12 world languages, including Latin, and will feature cultural elements drawn from various regions.

The event will also be an opportunity for shared prayer. During the Symphony of Mercy, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be prayed. Each part of the Chaplet will be recited in a different part of the world, and all participants will have the chance to unite in prayer in real-time via live television and internet broadcasts. The prayer will include Pope Francis, a soldier, a doctor, a homeless person, and a mother with her child. Thanks to modern multimedia technologies, such as holograms, participants from different parts of the world will be able to join the prayer in front of the Image of Jesus the Merciful.

The Symphony of Mercy is a global event with the potential to go down in history as a spark of love and hope that reaches the hearts of people all over the world.

The patron and co-organizer of the event is the John Paul II Vatican Foundation.
