Where there is no justice, there can be no peace

“The Catholic Church in every place on earth proclaims a message of peace, prays for peace, educates for peace.”

“It is easy to see the fundamental motives that threaten peace.  Where there is no justice, there can be no peace, because injustice is already disorder.  Where human rights are not respected, there can be no peace, because every violation of personal dignity breeds resentment and a spirit of revenge.  Where there is no moral formation that promotes the good, there can be no peace, because the evil tendencies rooted in hearts must always be stopped.”

“We certainly cannot build the future of a country or a continent with bombs.”
