Europe needs to be shown anew the value and beauty of Christian culture. Part II

I embrace with heartfelt prayer the deceased benefactors of the Foundation.  In particular, I would like to mention the late Cardinal Władysław Rubin – the first President of the Administrative Council of this Foundation.  This great shepherd of Poles scattered all over the world and everyone else is still present in our grateful memory and probably in the hearts of all gathered here.  May Christ take them to His House!

Thank you for your presence here and for your great generosity.  Thanks to your gifts, the Foundation has been able to develop and operate so successfully for ten years.  I am thinking of the Polish House, the Polish Institute of Christian Culture and the Pontifical Documentation Centre.

I also think with gratitude of the gift for the Perpetual Fund, which secures the material foundations of the Foundation established ten years ago.  It is a gift of Poles and a gift of Polish parishes, cultural and veteran associations, secular and spiritual organizations, as well as those who in their testament remembered the goals of the Foundation.  Among the large group of benefactors there are also friends from other countries.  The names and surnames of the donors were written as an eternal souvenir in the Polish House.  Your readiness to provide material help to the Foundation grows into a great symbol – it is a sign of love for the national heritage and proof of understanding for this historical moment in which Poland currently finds itself.  May God reward abundantly your noble generosity.
