On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of John Paul II’s stay in Lublin, in the Sanctuary of the Holy Family, where the Holy Father celebrated the solemn Holy Mass on June 9, 1987, a musical project entitled “2022 Year of Polish Romanticism. Give a hand to Ukraine” is ongoing from July 6-31, 2022. As part of this initiative on July 27 in the Church of the Holy Family, the famous Polish opera singer Alicja Węgorzewska performed together with her companions: Halina Risna (soprano) and Anna Prosiekova (violin) from Ukraine and Robert Grudzien (organ), who also is the author of the project. As the John Paul II Foundation, we are particularly proud of the participation of our scholarship recipient, Ania, in this project. The magnificent concert was rewarded with thunderous applause by a large audience.
