SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS IN THE “MOST” PROGRAM

My name is Anastasia. I am a scholarship recipient of the John Paul II Foundation and I study cultural tourism at the Catholic University of Lublin. Currently, I am in the last year of my master’s studies and I went for this semester to the MOST exchange program at the University of Wrocław.
The MOST program was established in 1999 and allows you to implement part of the study program within one field of study at another university in Poland. In its purpose, it refers to the European education system under the Erasmus program. As part of the MOST program, students and doctoral students of almost thirty Polish universities can study for one semester or the entire academic year at other universities throughout Poland.
Why did I choose the University of Wrocław? The reason is that it is one of the largest and oldest universities in Poland. It is one of the ten and only universities in Lower Silesia that holds the title of “Research University”. The University of Wrocław received fourth place among all public universities in the Ranking of Universities 2021 organized by “Perspektywy”.
All classes at the university are held in a stationary module. After almost two months of studying in Wroclaw, despite various difficulties, I want to say that it is worth it. It is a unique experience that allows you to look at the world and yourself differently.
Why Wroclaw? Because it is one of my favorite cities in Poland, very friendly to foreigners. The interweaving of many cultures that meet from different corners of the world is felt here. Wroclaw is associated with 5 rivers, 12 islands and 112 bridges and that it is why it is often called “Polish Venice”. Parks and squares constitutes a third of the city’s area. Wrocław is proud of over 1000-year history, impresses with original architecture and attracts with a friendly atmosphere. It is the warmest city in Poland. It’s impossible not to fall in love with it! I am happy that I can participate in the student exchange program in Wroclaw. I would like to thank the Foundation and its benefactors for this opportunity.
