The mission congres is an initiative frome France. This 2022 congres was its first edition in Belgium.
We all experienced a great eclesial moment. All spiritualities, missionary movements, Christian charitable organisations were present.
The congress opened on Friday with a great evening of prayer, lection divina and adoration. The participants invoked the Holy Spirit, asking him to descend on the speakers at the congress so that their missionary message would be a clear inspiration for the hearts of the participants to be opened.
Two busy days followed. The participants had the choice between 13 round tables with exciting topics (ecology, the spiritual crisis of society, evangelisation through beauty,..) and 68 workshops more focused on evangelisation in practice and in very diverse fields (charisms, theatre, catechesis, church visits,…). In smaller groups, these workshops allowed concrete discussions on how to be missionary in our daily lives
During the three days, a hundred or so stands presenting the work and Christian commitment of associations and foundations allowed for meetings and discussions around the various proposals present.
Each day was punctuated by a solemn high mass presided over by a bishop (Cardinal De Kesel on Saturday and Mgr Kockerols on Sunday). These Masses were admirably prepared and great care was taken with the quality of the musical accompaniment and the inspirations of the Holy Spirit. A great moment was the blessing of our brother priests who came down from the choir to stand in the congregation who then invoked the Spirit upon them.
