LET US CONVERT!

On Ash Wednesday, Lent began, that is, the forty-day period of preparation for Easter. The Holy Father proclaimed March 2nd as a day of fasting and prayer for peace. On this day, the scholarship recipients of the John Paul II Foundation and the residents of the Foundation Home in Lublin gathered for the Holy Mass at 7 p.m., praying for peace all over the world, especially in Ukraine.
The Eucharist was celebrated by Fr. Robert, who in his sermon reminded about the most important Lenten means and ways to conversion and transformation of life – prayer, almsgiving and fasting. Prayer, that is looking at God with a sincere conversation with Him, not for show. Almsgiving, that is, the gift of the heart, is meant to free us from selfishness. Fasting, that is as a wise look at ourselves that should remove from us all obstacles that prevents the good from multiplying.
In this difficult time for all of us, we must even more give ourselves to the Lord God, who died for us on the cross, rose from the dead, and promised a second coming. Therefore, let us convert and believe in the Gospel!
