At the John Paul II Foundation Home in Lublin, during Christmas, we cultivate the “Kolęda” custom of visiting household members, singing carols and joint meetings. This year, the “Kolęda” took place on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. In our chapel at 7 p.m. the Holy Mass was celebrated in the intention of the scholarship recipients, benefactors of the Foundation and employees of the Home.
Then Fr. Jan Strzałka and Fr. Robert Ptak, accompanied by the liturgical service and the residents of the Home, went to individual rooms and administrative rooms to bless them, to pray together and to sing Christmas carols. Each of the residents received a commemorative picture with the image of the Nativity Scene of Bethlehem. After the blessing of the apartments, a sweet treat was waiting for everyone in the hall, after which there was still time for joint Christmas carol singing.
To all, we wish God’s blessing for this festive time and the gifts of the Holy Spirit during the upcoming session!
