I witnessed his holiness

With his life, suffering and death, he wrote the most beautiful encyclical letter. No other encyclical letter had such strength. No other encyclical letter has brought so many people to God. How he lived and how he was dying in front of the eyes of the entire world was a proof of his love for us; the proof of trust and great wisdom. He knew how many of us are infidel Thomas. That we won’t believe until we will be able to see it. That there is strength in weakness. That you do not have to say a lot to express more than ever before. That you can and it is worth to love those who hate us. And, to forgive those who wanted to kill us. Finally, it is worth living Christ and it is worth to entrust ourselves to His Mother. As, then there is no drama from which a man would not rise up; nor a pain that would be unbearable. Then from every suffering comes some good. His suffering converted people. I saw it. I witnessed his holiness. I was learning to be humble from him. Also on these festive days, when his simple prayer did not fit to the solemn mood of the papal liturgy. I was embarrassed when I saw him preparing in Advent for Christmas and then in Lent – for Easter. The Pope took notes during a retreat for the Roman Curia! Like a student! It was so important for him to meet Jesus with a pure heart and open mind. The One, who comes and who is. And, the One who dies on the cross to continue to live.
