We don’t know what to do. We do know that we have to behave naturally. No tears, no despair. Doctors put fever and chills under control. Antibiotics begin to work. It is about 11 p.m. The Holy Father calms down, begins to breathe on his own. We tell him that the entire world prays in his intention, that people are sending greetings. We tell as if life was going on in a normal rhythm.
– Is it going?
– Yes, the same rhythm as usually, as before Thursday. In the morning: a holly Mass, during the day: prayers and reading. Except that the Mass is celebrated not in the chapel, but in the bedroom. The Holy Father celebrates it lying, but is not leading it.
– How does the Holy Father behave?
– He is very patient and calm. There are no physical ailments. His condition is stable, although we know it’s critical.
– And how were you dealing with it?
– There was anxiety, uncertainty.
– Grief? Despair?
– Grief was afterwards. On Thursday and Friday there was anxiety related to the organization. Did we notify everyone that the Holy Father is sick… Not to forget anyone … Not to fail the Holy Father.
