Prayer

“When you have to face some difficulty, when you experience lack of success or disappointment in your life, may your thoughts go straight to Christ”

           John Paul II

Dear Members and Friends of the John Paul II Foundation

This year is very special for all members and friends of our Foundation.  The jubilee of the 100th anniversary of the birth of Karol Wojtyła is a time to give thanks to God for the gift of the Great Pope, St. John Paul II.  The Pope, who, by proclaiming the power of the Cross of Christ with words and his life, opened millions of human hearts to love God and your neighbor.  This cross is particularly experienced today with coronavirus, which affects the entire world.  It is difficult for us, but we do not despair, as our thought, prayer, and our hearts go to Christ, the Savior of the world.

In the International Family of the John Paul II Foundation’s Friends, we would like to let you know that we keep you in our prayers every day, especially on Thursday at 7:00 am at the tomb of Saint John Paul II in the St. Peter’s Basilica.  Today’s holy Mass was celebrated in your intention.  We prayed to God through the intercession of Saint John Paul for health and special care in the time of the pandemic of the virus.

We want to respond to the pandemic of the virus with the universality of prayer, of compassion, of tenderness, as Holy Father said. Let’s remain united especially on every Thursday at 7am.

With gratitude and prayer,

Fr. Krzysztof Wieliczko, OSPPE
