Every year spiritual retreat for the scholarship recipients of the John Paul II Foundation in Lublin is a special time in their calendar. This was a special time for regaining spiritual life, recognizing their calling and getting closer to God. This year’s first series of retreats for scholarship recipients took place on November 14-17, 2019 at the home of the Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Stadniki near Lublin.
The retreat was led by Fr. Franciszek Wielgut, former vice director of the Foundation House. The retreat program included: daily Mass and adoration, conferences and various meetings that concerned faith, prayer, trust in God, and forgiving love. Participants could take advantage of the sacrament of penance and reconciliation, as well as had chance to talk about their problems.
We would like to thank Fr. Francis for his time spent together with us during retreat, for growing together in faith and good advice for further Christian life. Returning to Lublin and to our daily duties at the university and in the John Paul Foundation, we are filled with good new resolutions, renewed love and blessed by our Lord Jesus.
