Father Wojtyła, began to be absent for some lectures until he finally stopped to provide lectures and coming. He had too many classes. He has already taught ethics at the Catholic University of Lublin. Then, unexpectedly, he was appointed Auxiliary Bishop in Kraków. It was he, a young priest and an intellectual. After a few years, after the death of Archbishop Eugeniusz Baziak, he was elected a Vicar Capitular and provisional Administrator of the Archdiocese of Kraków. And, so we reached the year 1963, the priestly ordination of Dziwisz. But again, their paths went in different directions. After two years of working as a parish Vicar in Maków Podhalański, Don Stanislao started his studies in Kraków in the field of liturgy. Meanwhile, Bishop Wojtyła spent his time on the pastoral service in the Archdiocese of Kraków and on participation in the Second Vatican Council. The Council was a great school of doctrinal growth and pastoral renewal, but it also provided a great opportunity to learn more about the new theological ideas and to make friends with famous scientists and experts. Called to cooperate in drafting the Constitution of the “Gaudium et Spes”, he worked with many people such as Henri de Lubac and Yves Congar. The French Dominican Republic depicted a portrait of a young Polish bishop in his Diary. It is worth to recall his words from the Diary: “His personality makes an impression. There is a certain kind of energy, a magnetic power, a prophetic force, full of peace that cannot be resisted.” Thanks to his participation in the Second Vatican Council, Karol Wojtyła was able to enrich his pastoral ministry.
