44 years ago, on October 16, 1978, Cardinal Karol Wojtyła, Pope John Paul II, was elected to the Holy See. On the anniversary of this unique celebration, the John Paul II Foundation organized a Holy Mass at the Altar of St. John Paul II, presided by Archbishop Jan Romeo Pawłowski, secretary for Papal Representations in the Secretariat of State of the Holy See in concelebration with 20 priests.
In the Holy Mass the Polish Ambassador to the Holy See, Mr. Adam Kwiatkowski, and the faithful gathered in large numbers from Rome as well as from Poland and other countries.
