Tragic death of our beloved son late Marek Kilanowski
We would like to express our SINCERE GRATITUDE TO ALL, who in various gestures of love and kindness helped us and still are with us and our entire family during this difficult time after the tragic death of our beloved son late Marek Kilanowski. Our thank you to priests: Fr. Gerard Cooper and Fr. Andrzej Łukaszewicz from Alberta for praying with us on Monday and for the celebration of the funeral Mass on Tuesday. We would like to express our Thank You to the organists, Theresa Chipcur and Marek Wiatr, for the beautiful and touching music as well as to all ladies who brought home baked cakes to the funeral gathering.
Thank you also to the cross bearer, to all pallbearers, lectors and to ALL for their condolences, encouragement words, flowers, prayer support, and booked Masses. Friends, as well as to the Polish Catholic Association in Saskatoon for their help, including financial support to the widow Roberta and children.
Late Marek was a member of the Saskatchewan Chapter of the John Paul II Foundation and condolences and prayers in his intention are being sent to us from various Chapters and corners of the world. God bless you. We direct our special thanks to Fr. Krzysztof Wieliczko from Rome and all priests, who are offering Masses for our late son and in the intention of our entire family. We are grateful for the prayer support expressed from Priests, Sisters of the Sacred Heart, and Brothers from the Polish Home in Rome.

Marek Michal Kilanowski
January 31, 1980 – September 23, 2017
Marek was born in Poland and came to Canada at the age of two. He was raised in Hafford, SK and later settled in Saskatoon after living in a few different cities. It was in Saskatoon where Marek met Roberta and they married in 2010. Maverick loved being an Ironworker and all his union brothers and sisters. He enjoyed watching his Buccaneers, playing fantasy football, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his children. Marek is survived by his loving wife Roberta; his three children Brooklyn, Logan and Max; parents Michal and Bozena; Uncle Rev. Fr. Dominic Mazun; one sister Marta; mother-in- law Jean Holdner; sister and brother-in-law Laurel (Doug), and Devin. Vigil for Marek will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. and Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Both services will be held at Our Lady of Czestochowa Roman Catholic Church, 301 Avenue Y South, Saskatoon, SK, with celebrant Rev. Fr. Gerard Cooper. Rite of Committal will follow in Woodlawn Catholic Cemetery.
