FAREWELL CEREMONY FOR THE SCHOLARS OF THE FOUNDATION

On Saturday, May 27, 2023, a farewell ceremony was held at the House of the John Paul II Foundation in Lublin for the scholarship recipients who graduated this year from the Catholic University of Lublin. On the eve of Pentecost, at 6 p.m., the Eucharist was presided over by Father Jan Strzałka, the director of the House. In his homily, he addressed the graduates, thanking them for actively participating in the life of the Foundation’s community when they were present at the Cenacle – the chapel of our House – so that, strengthened by faith and the power of the Holy Spirit, they may bear witness to Jesus Christ. Father Jan thanked the graduates for their gift – a throne for the monstrance. The musical accompaniment of the Mass was provided by the schola, composed of this year’s graduates under the direction of Alena Papliouka and organist Olha Shpynda.

On behalf of all the graduates of this year, I would like to once again sincerely thank all the benefactors for the material support they have provided us, for their prayers and kindness, and for the opportunity to study at the Catholic University of Lublin. Thanks to the scholarship program, we were able to develop not only intellectually but also spiritually, participating in retreats, pilgrimages, liturgies, and catechesis, among other activities. We would like to express our gratitude to our irreplaceable spiritual guides, Father Jan and Father Robert, for their dedication, assistance, and care over these five years.

We offer a special prayer to all those who support the scholarship program of the Foundation. We are immensely grateful for your presence alongside us at every stage of our life in Lublin.
