The John Paul II Foundation in Sydney has now been active for about a year. We are still a small gathering that comes together every second Saturday of the month, but hoping in due time (like the early Christians 2,000 years ago) the movement spreads far and wide and gains traction to give God glory. This has happened with Chapters in other parts of the world and through John Paul II’s intercession, we pray the same for Sydney.
Although the group is a modest one, it is made up of Spirit-filled, devout individuals who pray earnestly for an agenda close to John Paul II’s heart – an end to the Culture of Death. We have chosen to make this the mission statement for our Chapter because of the moral decay prevalent in our society, a decay which is only getting worse.
Every month we pray for an end to those sins that cry out to Heaven for justice: abortion, same-sex marriage, euthanasia and all man-made laws that are contrary to God’s law. We pray especially for our politicians and elected officials to be courageous enough to oppose deviant lifestyles and practices (that are forced upon society as the norm), and instead speak up for the Truth.
